Bearing Together (Family Advocacy Ministry)
Bearing Together is a Family Advocacy Ministry, built from the scripture, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” -Galatians 6:2, focusing on creating Care Community groups to actively support families in the foster care system. These care communities support the families through tangible support, child mentorship, meal deliveries, and more. Want to be involved or get more info?

“The Step Out for Kids fundraising walk is the main fundraiser for the Bearing Together ministry. The Bearing Together ministry’s mission is to reflect Christ’s love by supporting foster, kinship, and biological families impacted by the foster care system, specifically in Poway and its surrounding areas. This is done by meeting tangible needs and by providing community.
It is our goal to walk alongside families who are experiencing crisis, who need support, or who can benefit from being plugged into a caring community. We serve families by providing for tangible needs including: meals, groceries, clothing, shoes, beds, bedding etc… As well as offer encouragement and a listening ear.
Our ministry partners, Restoration 225 are an amazing organization that acts as the bridge between the christian church and vulnerable children in our community. They do this by implementing Care Communities, Restore Hope projects and Care portal. They believe every child deserves a caring community. A percentage of proceeds from this event will go to Restoration 225.
